2011 Sparkling Riesling

This is our first release of Sparkling Riesling since the 2004 vintage and follows in the footsteps of previous vintages which were awarded major accolades including “Best NY Sparkling Wine.” This vintage offers excellent Riesling fruit character and superb sugar/acid balance. Produced from Estate Grown vinifera grapes.
The estate grown grapes for this wine were harvested by hand on September 26, 2011 from vines 35+ years old. At harvest the grapes had 1.12 TA, 2.99 pH and 18.8 brix sugar. The wine was put in triage in July 2013. Disgorging is done is small lots and began in March 2014. The finished wine has 0.90 TA, 2.80 pH, 2.75% residual sugar and 13.0% alcohol. A total of approximately 140 cases produced.
