The New York Wine Classic, organized annually by The New York Wine & Grape Foundation invites all wineries from New York State to participate. It features various categories including vinifera wines such as Riesling and Cabernet Franc, plus a variety of other categories. Each wine submitted undergoes scoring and has the opportunity to receive recognition with a medal or even "Best in Class" or "Best in Category". We are proud to announce that our 2020 Saperavi Reserve was awarded a Gold Medal, 92 points, and "Best Other Red Vinifera" in this year's competition!
There were over 700 entries from 92 wineries this year and all 14 entries by McGregor Vineyard earned a medal. The winery received gold medals across the stylistic spectrum- red, white, and sparkling wines. Clearly, McGregor Vineyard produces high quality wines across the board! McGregor Vineyard is honored to join with fellow wineries throughout the region and New York State to participate in this competition. This contest benchmarks the high and ever-rising quality of our region's wines and we offer our congratulations to all category and medal winners. In total we were awarded 6 Gold Medals, 5 Silver Medals, and 3 Bronze Medals for our wines.
